Veridt STEALTH BIO – Q Face Biometric PIV Reader Integrated to FIPSlink 2024.1.0

February 23, 2024 – From the desk of David Smith.

Federal Government departments and US armed forces can now upgrade high volume entries and doors to face PIV readers to complement their existing fingerprint PIV readers without having to rip and replace existing PIV readers.

Veridt recently announced their new STEALTH BIO – Q Face Biometric PIV Reader. FIPS 201-3 redefined a valid Biometric to include the JPEG/JPEG2000 Facial image and ANSI378 fingerprint on the PIV card as biometric templates for biometric matching at registration and time of access decisions. Veridt STEALTH BIO – Q is the first and only Face Biometric PIV reader and it will soon be FICAM certified.

FIPSlink 2024.1 fully integrates Veridt’s new STEALTH BIO – Q Face Biometric PIV reader. All FICAM modes such as CAK authentication, PIN + PIV authentication and Pin + Face Biometric + PIV Authentication are fully supported. FIPSlink is the first and only registration and validation system with support for the Veridt STEALTH BIO – Q.
