FIPSlink Visitor provides a compelling FIPS201-compliant solution to optimizing visitor control and security desk operations

February 28, 2024 – From the desk of Todd Harrington.

Eliminate bottlenecks and streamline the check in/registration workflow with the FIPSlink Visitor self-service kiosk.  FIPSlink Visitor automates the process through a self-service kiosk application that can register & validate an existing PIV, CAC or TWIC issued by another agency/department or dispense a high-assurance PIV visitor credential.

FIPSlink can automatically provision the issued or guest PIV with pre-determined access rights into a physical access control system (PACS). The Kiosk application can be customized to accept or capture biometrics (fingerprint, photo/facial, iris) and write to the credential.

By using a certificate revocation list check, the validation of the credential at a PACS card reader prior to authorization ensures the credential is authentic and not revoked in compliance with FIPS201. Additionally, customization can be implemented for enhanced visitor workflow services such as access to third party adjudication databases, local Do Not Admit lists, etc.
